FIRST EDITION of DuPinet's condensed compilation from Matthioli and other authors, title within elaborate woodcut border, numerous small botanical woodcuts printed one to the page. Baudrier IV, p.72; Durling 1327; Hunt 85; Nissen 565; Pritzel 2539. Provenance : Additions to last page of index in a sixteenth-century hand -- "WC, 1791," and "Chene" inscriptions on titlepage margins.
