Lot Description: Early 20th Century Red and White Signature Quilt , embroidered with surnames on each alternating red and white square, made for a Church fund raising, 168cm by 190cm; Yorkshire Signature Quilt Dated 1904 , comprising white and grey cotton alternating squares, each embroidered with a name in white and some with floral motifs, central panel embroidered with 'NMFE Roundhay Road Leeds 1904', white reverse with gathered frill, 208cm by 215cm (2) In 1904 the Oakwood Clock by William Potts & Sons was moved to the more prosperous area of Roundhay Road from Kirkgate Condition Report: Red and white quilt – fading to turkey red, slight discolouration to white and some of the signatures re rubbing. Could have had another row to the top edge as appears to be the start of another …? See images. Couple of small splits to revers and a patch. White and grey quilt – couple of small brown marks and slight staining, see images. One square using two differing coloured threads. Slight rubbing and wear.
