Note: In 1906 the Fiancé of Chahine Mary Jacobsen died and the artist lost all love for life. His friend and publisher Sagot send him to Venice, Umbria and Toscana for distraction. Edgard Chahine returned with a sensitive group of etchings from the Italian countryside. Literature: "Edgar Chahine: Catalogue de l'Oeuvre Grave", by M.R.
