EISENBERG, Baron d'. L'Art de Monter a Cheval, ou description du Manége Moderne, dans sa perfection. The Hague: P.Gosse & J.Neaulme, 1733. Oblong 2° (246 x 360mm). Title in red and black. Engraved frontispiece and 59 plates, all by B.Picart. (The final plate somewhat creased, small wormhole in frontispiece and title.) Contemporary sheep, spine gilt (scuffed, extremities rubbed, spine chipped at head and foot). This work on classical horsemanship contains a fine collection of plates by Picart, originally published in London by subscription in 1727. The plates include seven representing different breeds of horse; 48 of dressage/schooling movements and four of bits. Mennessier de la Lance p.438.
