A collection of 17 pieces of ephemera from the Yosemite Valley Railroad/Railway, including illustrated brochures, time tables, a supper menu, tickets and passes, newsletter, etc. The Yosemite Valley Railroad was a short-line railroad operating from 1907 to 1945 in the state of California, mostly following the Merced River from Merced to Yosemite National Park, carrying a mixture of passenger and freight traffic. The name was changed to the Yosemite Valley Railway after the YVRR went bankrupt. Includes: "Pay Rules and Regulations for Train and Enginemen. Effective May 16, 1937." 9pp. Wrappers. 4 illustrated Yosemite Valley Railroad/Railway brochures from various years. Yosemite Valley Railway Company Supper Menu, 1940. 4 used and unused tickets, passes, auditor's stubs, from various years, and a small envelope printed, "Yosemite Valley Railway Company Compliments of W.L. White, Vice President and General Manager." 3 schedules with rates from the years 1919, 1921 and 1941. "The Western Railroader" illustrated pamphlet, November 1965. Yosemite Valley Railway Co. Membership newsletter and form letter, 1992. "An Old Solution for a Modern Dilemma" clipped newspaper article from Dec. 14, 1992 "Mariposa Guide."
