Auctioneers Note: Gill received a commission from Oliver Hill to provide a carved relief for the new hotel he was designing at Morecombe Bay and to paint a mural on the ceiling of the staircase well. The theme of the mural is Christ the King with two female attendants. The size of the mural is specified lower left and the colour scheme lower right. Drawing published in 'The Midland Hotel: Morecambe's White Hope', 2007, p. 66. Comments: framed and ready to hang.
