ESTATE PLAN - William Boycot. A Map & Description of the Mannors of Honiwoode, Redbrooke and Pedlindge lying in the Parishes of Saltwood, Postlynge and Hide in Kent . [Kent: circa 1650]. MANUSCRIPT ESTATE PLAN ON VELLUM, ink and wash (760 x 600mm.). The plan is a copy of an earlier 1636 survey, showing a number of fragmented small farms in the area to the North of Hythe, Kent, principal buildings shown, field boundaries, acreages and ownerships, woods and roads, central decorative compass rose, large scale bar and dividers with banderole titled Gulielmus Boycot Descripsit, title with description at lower right corner set in strapwork border with arms of the Honywood Family, owners of the Charing Estates in mid-Kent, the plan set within plain ruled borders of blue and yellow. Framed.
