EXTER, Alexandra -- AKSENOV, Ivan. Neuvazhitel'niya osnovaniya . [Weak Foundations]. Moscow: Tsentrifuga, 1916. 4° (360 x 265mm). 2 etchings by Exter. (Light soiling on title.) Facsimile wrappers (reproducing some soiling). FIRST EDITION, NUMBER 95 OF 200 COPIES. With two original cubist etchings by Exter. Chauvelin describes Exter's work of the period, created in a climate fevered by war and impending revolution, as characterized by a 'radical novelty' (p.118). Exter collaborated again with Aksenov on his Picasso (1917) -- a book which she inspired and for which she produced the cover. RARE: ABPC records no copy at auction for over 30 years.
