(8vo) 21.5x13.5 cm (8½x5¼"), original uncut brown paper wrappers, stitched as issued, pages untrimmed; custom half-morocco clamshell box. Rare 1774 Boston printing of this "forerunner of the Declaration of Independence," containing extracts from the extraordinary proceedings of the first Continental Congress, published by order of the Congress. This extraordinary wide-margined uncut copy has its original stab-sewn stitches and paper wrappers. The title page contains the large contemporary ownership signature of Elisha Basset. Evans 13717; Howes U.S.iana (2nd ed.) E247; Sabin 15528. Lot Amendments Condition: Some darkening to contents and a few brown spots to margins; very good, in rare untrimmed state.
