Beschreibung:

WWI-era M1916/17 stahlhelm with original camouflage paint and leather liner. Item exterior shows two ventilator lugs along with five rivets, as well as green, brown, black, and ochre paint applied in camouflage pattern. Interior of helmet still has original 3-pad leather lining with padding and drawstring intact and in good condition. Lining is marked with what appears to be a surname that reads “Lunkurtz” scribed to leather flap in ink. Item also has original chinstrap attached by lugs to interior. Interior of helmet flaring is stamped “E.T.66.” preceded by a larger “66” painted in black. Condition: Item is in great condition, especially for a WWI-era stahlhelm. Exterior camouflage paint is still vivid under scratching and some light surface oxidation scattered overall. Interior of helmet shell has scratching, small losses to finish, and some oxidation scattered overall. Leather lining is in great condition, showing light wear and darkened discoloration to slaps with no visible cracking or tears. Chin strap shows some light cracking to backside and light oxidation around lugs.
