Bayly after the author (plate III rather creased, title browned at edges, some soiling and staining, particularly to advertisement leaf, B7r and B8v), modern blue wrappers [Wheeler Gift 429] -- Abraham BENNET. New Experiments on Electricity, wherein the causes of thunder and lightning as well as the constant state of positive or negative electricity in the air or clouds, are explained , Derby: by John Drewry, 1789, 8°, folding engraved frontispiece and 3 folding plates, with 6-page list of subscribers bound in between A2 and A3 (library stamps on verso of title and on dedication leaf, title a little soiled, frontispiece and plates rather dampstained, plate I also a little wormed at one margin), contemporary boards (worn) [Wheeler Gift 552]; and two other works on electricity by Beccaria and Franklin.
