Fine French Bronze and Patinated Bronze-Mounted Burr Amboyna Wood and Marble-Top Center Table ca. 1900, possibly by Theodore Millet or Zwiener Jansen Successeur, after a design by Adam Weisweiler and Pierre-Philippe-Thomire, the circular inset Vert Patricia marble within an anthemion cast bronze rim, raised on four cast bronze legs headed with winged sirens and terminating in paw feet, mounted to a shaped amboyna-veneered base and centered with an ormolu-mounted marble urn, the back side of the siren mounts marked "3271 CF". h. 31", dia. 37-3/4" Literature: D. Ledoux-Lebard, Le Mobilier Francais du XIX Siecle: 1795-1889, (Paris, 1989), p. 484; C. Payne, Francois Linke: 1855-1946, The Belle Epoque of French Furniture (Woodbridge, 2003), p. 208. Notes: The original model for this table was commissioned for the Palace of Fontainebleau in 1810. Later versions were manufactured by Theodore Millet, Francois Linke and Zwiener Jansen Successeur.
