FIVE GREEN-GLAZED VESSELSJin - Southern Song dynasty
The first, a shallow bowl molded with a rolled rim and canted walls, all raised on a wedged foot with a recessed base, the surface covered by a gray-green glaze except for the cinnamon-toned burnt pad of the foot; the second, a shallow saucer potted with a flared rim rising from a recessed base and supported on a wedged foot, the heavily crazed olive-green glaze stopping at the unglazed foot; the third, a deep bowl incised with a band of flowers and leaves beneath the pale gray-green glaze continuing onto exterior wall and stopping unevenly above the footring; the fourth, a broad bowl potted with the wide well rising from a splayed foot and recessed base, the opaque gray-blue glaze thinning at the rim and stopping above the foot; the fifth an ovoid jar surmounted by a tall neck, the body tapering inward above a concave base and covered under a thin pale green glaze crazed by an extensive web of russet-stained lines from burial.
