He was awarded his Meritorious Service Medal for his services with No. 3 Water Boring Section, and was awarded his Special Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal per Army Order 309 of July 1920, one of only 9 Special Reserve L.S. & G.C.s awarded to the Royal Engineers.
