Paper wrappers (light spotting); cloth folding case. The obsequies held at the Church of San Lorenzo in Florence on 2 December 1665 to commemorate the death of PHILIP IV (1605-1665), King of Spain. The apparato is described in the text and the epigraphs are recorded by Borgherini, a member of the committee of senators appointed by Grand Duke Ferdinando II of Tuscany to organize the event. The architect to the court, Ferdinando Tacca designed the catafalque and the funerary decorations around the church, which are here illustrated in the two folding plated by Falda.
