JOHN'S CHURCH, JUST ONE MONTH BEFORE HIS DEFEAT AT THE POLLS. -- CARTER, James E. (1924 - ). Partly printed check accomplished and signed ("J. E. Carter Jr"), drawn against Plains Mercantile Co., Plains Georgia, 4 March 1960. 1 p., oblong (3 x 8 3/8 in.), on yellow safety paper, with stamp over Carter's signature for "Carter's Warehouse, Plains, Georgia" . A 1960 check for $20.00 to Eula Mae Rogers from peanut farmer James Earl Carter, Jr., before he became "Jimmy" in his political career. -- BUSH, George H. W. (1924 - ).
