Four Column Beam Engine A French brass, patinated brass and granite eight day timepiece with barometer, thermometer and automomaton beam and wheels Retailed by or Presented to Staines Brothers, London. Circa 1890 The front inset with enamel dials for barometer and time and applied with a milk glass thermometer scale signed J.J. Kohorn (?)/Marienbad , applied with a silvered plaque inscribed Staine Bros/London , with revolving wheels causing the beam to rise and fall and operate the pump, the single barrel movement with lever escapement, with independent single barrel automaton movement 14½ in. (37 cm.) high
