Four Doccia supports, two Doccia salts and a pair of Doccia supports with Bow candle-nozzles Circa 1750, two supports impressed I The supports modelled as grotesque figures with human heads, ample bosoms and paw feet in flesh tones and with pink wings and polychrome fish tails, pierced for attachment through the lower part of their bodies, three with female heads and the other with a male head (two with slight chips to wings, the male head with ground section to hair), 3 1/8in. (8cm.) long; the shell-salts modelled as a mermaid and a merman back to back supporting an iron-red and puce shell, the first with tails of the figures entwined and kneeling on a rockwork base, the second with figures astride a high pierced rococo scrollwork and shell base (both shells extensively damaged, the second with right arm of merman a restored replacement, merman's left hand and mermaid's right arm lacking) 5¾in. (14.5cm.) and 6½in. (16.5cm.) high; the pair of supports, each with a scantily draped putto holding a cornucopia fitted with a blue and gilt Bow candle-nozzle, on extensive rococo scroll and shell-moulded bases (one base and candle-nozzle chipped and with one section of drip-pan a restored replacement), 8 5/8in.
