Stunning and important editions from the foremost of the New York School poets. The abstract expressionist artwork was produced in close collaboration with the poets and the prints were pulled directly by the artists at Tiber Press. "Salute" is Schuyler's first appearance in book form. Although the colophon gives the limitation as 225, the books seem to be considerably more rare. The edition of 200 does not differ physically from the "reserve" edition of 25 copies. The current owner of this set was given it by Floriano Vecchi one of the co-owners of Tiber Press. Lot Amendments Condition: Slipcase a little worn at edges with one edge separating; one closed tear and a couple of small spine panel losses to plastic jackets; bindings a little toned; "Odes" with a very slight lean, a couple of finger-smudges in endpapers; prints all fine with most of the loose glassine guards still present; overall, near fine.
