FIRST EDITION OF THE CATECHISM OF THE MORAVIAN BRETHREN IN AMERICA. "This short catechism was compiled by Count Zinzendorf... during the early spring of 1742, read, approved, and ordered printed by a gathering of German Protestants, largely United Brethren, on April 6, 1942, at their fifth conference, and then prepared for the press by John Bechtel" (Miller 309).
