Beschreibung:

French Bronze Figure of a Female Standing Before a Cheval Mirror After a model by Emile Pinedo, with the Bronze Garanti Au Titre seal, first quarter of the 20th century The young woman standing on a tassled pillow and combing her hair. Height 13 1/2 inches. C
appears to be in generally good condition; gilding to cheval mirror frame is nicely worn, appropriate to age and handling; surprisingly, the female nude has a uniformly reddish-brown patina that does not show any evidence of wear or handling, which suggests the figure has possibly been re-patinated at some point; some oxidation/discoloration spots to the mirror plate; the top side of the base is inscribed PINEDO; the rear top side of the base (behind the mirror) has the "Bronze Garanti" circular seal; the cheval mirror and the figure's feet (and cushion) are affixed to the base with screws that are affixed to the base with screws, visible on the underside; there is a shiny rubbed area on the underside of the base, not really of any consequence since it is on the underside; this shiny area of discoloration may indicate the bronze may have originally been affixed or mounted onto another base
