Second edition of Frézier’s important account of his voyages to South America. Commissioned by the French government to chart the western coast of South America, the author brought back significant scientific as well as geographic information about Chile, Peru and the wider region. Provenance : ‘L.B.C. 1744’ (label on pastedown) – evidence of removed bookplate on front pastedown.
