Sharp Place: London Publisher: Hurst and Blackett Date: 1900 Description: Illustrated with frontispiece, maps (2 of which are folding) and illustrations by A.D. McCormick. (4to) 9¼x7, original pictorial cloth. First Edition. Grogan was a wealthy Kenyan farmer when he made this walk. The exploit won him the permission of Miss Gertrude Watt's father for her hand in marriage. Lot Amendments Condition: Cloth a little soiled with minor wear to extremities, two small holes at lower joint, hinges weak; some foxing at ends and edges, closed tear to each folding map; else very good.
