Provenance : Hopital Psychiatrique de la Charité sur Loire (ink stamp on half-title, small library call-slip pocket on front flyleaf). FIRST EDITION. An anatomical memoir submitted to l'Institut de France, and published with the report of the Institut's commission (headed by Philippe Pinel); later reissued as the first volume of Gall and Spurzheim, Anatomie et physiologie du systéme nerveux (Paris, 1810-1819).
