GENERAL SECTION - A CHUNK OF THE CHESTER ESTATE Part of the vast estate holding of a serious stamp hoarder - an inveterate buyer at Auctions, Stamp Fairs etc. who never seemed to get round to sorting his many acquisitions. Simply split down into manageable (usually carton size) lots, and estimated for a quick sale. This carton contains country collections on leaves and stockleaves, mint and used, generally very fine condition - apparently untouched old auction lots - mostly FRENCH COLONIES plus some PORTUGUESE COLONIES. With very good FRENCH SOMALI COAST from early imperfs mint and used, strongly represented (mostly mint/never hinged mint) through to 1960's; Ivory Coast nicely represented 1890's to 1930's; Madagascar and Dependencies nicely represented 1890's to 1940's .
