Georges Rouault (French, 1871-1958) Three Plates from Miserere and Frontispiece from Réincarnations du Père Ubu: Femme affranchie, à quatorze heures, chante midi, plate XVII, 1923, Sunt lacrimae rerum..., plate XXVII, 1926, Chantez Matines, le jour renaît, plate XXIX, 1922, editions of 425, published by Editions de l'Etoile Filante, Paris (Wofsy, 124, 136, 134), Paysage au palmier, 1918, published by Ambroise Vollard, Paris, each signed or initialed and dated in the plate, aquatint and drypoint over heliogravure, Miserere plates on Arches laid paper with Ambroise Vollard watermark, Paysage on paper watermarked "La Tentation de Saint Antoine," plate sizes to 22 x 17 in., matted, unframed. Condition: Each with full margins, Femme affranchie hinged to its title page wrapper, all others hinged to mat, with tape to upper corners on the verso, deckled edges, toning, mat burn, Femme affranchie with scattered fox marks, pencil annotations to lower margins and verso, rippling, adhesive residue to the reverse, Chantez Matines with small creases to lower edge.
