Three miniature Sgraffito Pottery by Joseph Lonewolf & Camilio Sunflower Tafoya (1932-2014 & 1902-1995) Two by Lonewolf, one signed, dated 86 and numbered D23EWRCC underneath, the other signed with monogram and numbered A1. The third by his father Camilio signed, annotated Santa Clara Pueblo and numbered 91121TW4 underneath. Each incised polychrome clay, H. 2.2 / 1.1 / 3.7 cm Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist Joseph Lonewolf by the present owner (3x) * Condition report available upon request

A Northeast Indian, Pala style, phyllite stone stele with the pendant legged crowned Buddha 10th/11th century Shown seated on a throne with both feet resting on a lotus and with the Wheel of Life flanked by a pair of deer below, both hands in dharmachakramudra, wearing pleated cloak, modern head, flanked by Maitreya and Padmapani, a pair of stupas above and a parasol at the centre of the backslab, below a lengthy inscription, including the Buddhist Creed, in a fine nagari script. According to Dr Rajat Sanyal of the University of Calcutta, the inscription on te pedestal may refer to Taintadigrāma (modern Tetrawan), and donated by the son of a Pādamūlika (day-labourer) who was 'born in' Tetrawan in Bihar.
