Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Gem-Set Flower Brooch 18 kt., the stylized flower composed of overlapping petals, centering one old-mine cut diamond approximately .45 ct., edged by 4 round emeralds, the pierced platinum petals and leaves set with one marquise-shaped and 156 old-European and single-cut diamonds approximately 5.50 cts., the outer petals accented by fancy-shaped citrines and amethysts, edged by square-cut rubies, completed by a stem set with square-cut emeralds, circa 1950, approximately 21 dwts. C
Center diamond: K-L-VS2-SI, faces up slightly whiter, medium large open culet, facet junctions very slightly abraded, brilliant. Diamonds: H-I-J-VS-SI, several chipped, not visible to eye. Marquise-shaped diamond: I-J-SI, chip at edge. Emeralds: bright medium to medium deep green, slightly included to moderately included, one cushion-shaped emerald very chipped, very lively. Amethysts: medium to medium deep purple with lavender hues, well-matched, cleanish to slightly included, two lower center stones with whitish inclusions, slightly visible to eye, lively. Citrines: bright medium yellow-orange, cleanish, several pavilions chipped, lively. Rubies: bright medium raspberry, slightly included, one cavity on side of one facet, lively. Good condition. Well-made. 1 7/8 x 2 3/4 inches.
