Erebus and Terror under the command of Captain Sir James Clark Ross during the years 1839 to 1843: Birds by George Robert Gray and R. Bowdler Sharpe. London: E. W. Janson, 1846-1875. 4 (297 x 243mm). 37 hand-coloured lithgographic plates, 8 by and after Joseph Wolf printed by Hullmandel or Hullmandel and Walton. (Occasional light thumb-soiling, a few spots.) Contemporary green half morocco and marbled boards, spine gilt with red morocco lettering-pieces. The ornithological section of the report of this expedition to New Zealand and the Antarctic regions is divided into two parts, the first written by G. R.
