Group of English and Continental Silver or Silver-plate Miniatures, 19th/20th century, four English sterling silver: a frame with inset miniature and enameled clover accents, a shoe with a weighted foot, a Gothic Revival armchair, and a covered jug; nine Dutch silver: a reticulated basket with single drawer, sauceboat, drop-front bonheur du jour, hanging lantern, funnel, charger, two-handled covered cup, watering can, and square container with bail handle; three German silver: a dressing table with hinged lid, bucket, and teardrop-shaped container; the remaining pieces lacking hallmarks, eight silver: an opium bed, funnel, basket, pan with long handle, bike push-cart, basket, pitcher and dressing table with inset mirror, six white metal or plated: mantel clock, mug, bellows, flask, tankard, and cup; approx. 14.7 troy oz. total weighable silver, together with four books on silver miniature: including Miranda Poliakoff's Silver Toys & Miniatures, Katharine McClinton's Antiques in Miniatures, the Smithsonian Illustrated Library of Antiques: Miniatures compiled for the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, and Victor Houart's Miniature Silver Toys.
