This large sized early Nock inside lock was used for an experimental Nock breechloading musket and an experimental version of the Duke of Richmond pattern musket. Condition: Mechanically functional, metal with a mottled and oxidized dark gray over a pewter patina. An incredibly scarce British military lock from the end of the 18th or beginning of the 19th century.
