Hal Greer early 1970's Philadelphia 76ers Road Jersey Hal Greer wasn’t a flashy player, but he was a consistent and durable winner. In his fifteen seasons with the Syracuse Nationals/Philadelphia 76ers, he played in a then record 1,122 games, scoring more than 21,586 points. Many of those points came on jump shots in his distinctive smooth low arc and quick release. He even used his jumper on free throws. Greer joined Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain (who was third in the league in assists that year) and Billy Cunningham to lead the 76ers to the NBA championship in 1967, ending Boston's string of eight consecutive titles. Using his speed, agility and jumper to his fullest abilities, Greer played in 10 NBA All-Star Games, and won the 1968 All-Star MVP Award after scoring 21 points, including a record 19 in one quarter. Greer wore this Philadelphia 76ers Road Jersey during his final years with the 76ers. On the left front tail is the “Spanjian” label with size “40.” Across the front of the jersey is the name “Sixers” and on the back is the name “Greer.” The letters are made of white tackle twill. His player number “15” appears on both the front and back of the jersey in white on red tackle twill. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. LOA from MEARS (A10) and Grey Flannel.
