The first edition of Haemastaticks (i.e. the second work) is Vol. II of Statical Essays . The first work contains the "first complete account of the physiology of plants, including the reaction with air and movement of the sap"--Grolier/Horblit. "The second volume contains the studies on blood pressure which make Hales one of the founders of modern experimental physiology"-- Printing and the Mind of Man. Provenance : Harrison D.
