Text in English and French, 2 engraved titles, 62 engraved plates only (?of 63, lacking plate no. one, some mainly marginal spotting and staining). Contemporary morocco-backed boards (rubbed, head and foot of spine worn). SWARBRECK, Samuel Dukinfield. Sketches in Scotland. Drawn from Nature and on Stone. London: G. Hullmandel, 1839. 2° (535 x 375mm). Tinted lithographed title, dedication leaf and 23 plates by Swarbreck only (of 24, lacking plate 13 "Rosslyn Chapel, the East Aisle", title stained and spotted, some mainly marginal dampstaining, occasional light spotting). Contemporary green morocco-backed cloth-covered boards gilt (worn). Abbey Scenery 492. The lot sold as a collection of plates, not subject to return. (2)
