A Hepplewhite sideboard in mahogany with pine secondary, having a rectangular, serpentine-front top with a crossbanded edge above a conforming central drawer outset over two hinged doors, all flanked by two stacks of one short drawer above one hinged door, the crotch-grained fronts embellished with cockbeading and lightwood line inlay, the whole rising on six square, tapered legs, verso retaining an old paper label inscribed This Belongs To / Sarah Thomas Lee (?) / Given To Her By / Her Aunts Agnes & Gertrude(?)...; ht. 40, wd. 71.75, dp. 29 in. Provenance: Property from the Estate of Maxwell Mitchell Leichardt, Bowling Green, KY Condition: Surface wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use, including some minor nicks and scratches. Top with a slightly heavier concentration of wear. Age splits to doors and side panels. Drawer pulls probably replaced. Some loose pulls.
