He asks his correspondent, who is evidently an eminent musician, to assist the son of one of the unfortunate Russian Jews in Vienna. He shows great talent in playing the violin and believes that with his letter of recommendation, he might be able to find a sponsor to support him in his studies. Herzl himself, not being a musician, would not be able to help in this matter.
