A rare and decorative wall chart on the heart and circulation, from the early period of the transmission of Western medical knowledge to Japan. Sotetsu Ishizaka, the editor of the chart, is known for applying European anatomical knowledge to the minutely detailed external anatomy known as "Keiketsu," the anatomical science basic to acupuncture. He was the creator of the acupuncture system known as Ishizaka Ryu.
