2 parts in one volume, folio (313 x 190mm.), half-titles, modern green leather gilt by Jesus Cortes of Madrid, inset polychrome portrait of a classical figure by P. Dealy, flat spine gilt with red morocco lettering-pieces, brown morocco gilt doublures, plain edges, matching slipcase, marginal paper repairs to first few leaves, repaired wormholes in upper margin towards end of volume
A fine specimen of Greek printing; the font was designed by Alexander Wilson and the text was corrected by James Moor, professor of Greek at Glasgow. The Foulis press had previously issued the Iliad in 1756.
