The Ascent of Everest, 1st ed., 1953, colour and b & w illustrations, light offsetting to endpapers, original blue cloth, price-clipped d.j., spine a little faded and rubbed at ends, 8vo, signed to title ‘Ed Hillary’, together with The Conquest of Everest, by John Hunt, 1st US ed., Dutton, New York, 1954, illustrations, original cloth-backed boards (a few light mottled spots), d.j., loss at spine ends, one or two chips, 8vo, signed ‘Ed Hillary’ to title, plus Road to Rakaposhi, by George Band, 1st ed., 1955, half-tone illustrations, some light spots, map endpapers (front endpaper with red bookseller stamp), d.j., loss at head of spine, a little rubbed and chipped, 8vo, signed ‘Ed Hillary’ to title, with four others including Sir Vivian Fuchs’ Antarctic Adventure, 1st ed., 1959, another copy of The Ascent of Everest, 1953 and Peter Mulgrew’s No Place for Men, 1965 reprint, all signed by Hillary.
