Illuminated Manuscripts -- A one page vellum document in Latin, dated Pisa, 24th December, 1600, entitled 'In Dei Nomine Amen' , awarding a degree, a Doctorate in Canon and Civil Law, to Petrus Venturinus Florentinus, who has satisfied the examiners in the required subjects, at the Gymnasium of Pisa, issued by Carolus Antoneus Puteus, Archbishop of Pisa and Papal Legate, manuscript in ink, initial letter 'C' , and various names in the text illuminated in liquid gold, red wax seal in tin case attached; together with a one page vellum Papal Bull (Urbanus VIII, i.e. Maffeo Barberini), in Latin, dated Rome, Santa Maria Maggiore, 31 December 1629, addressed to Melchior Lorenzo, referring to Hippolytus Fraconio, and to an absolution, ornate lettering with calligraphic flourishes in first line, leaden bulla attached by cords.
