A facsimile of good quality of a Hebrew manuscript: an illustrated guide to holy places in Eretz Israel and the Vicinity written in the 16th cent. by an unknown writer of Italian origin. English translation, introduction and notes by Cecil (Bezalel) Roth (1899-1970), Jewish-British historian who specialized in Jewish history and was famous for his collection of Jewish art. Printed in 580 copies. This is copy no. 24. Original parchment binding, elaborate, on the front appears the book title handwritten in fine letters. Gilded upper page cutting. Heavy paper of good quality. [2], 91 pp, 25.5 cm. Good condition. Tears at margin of leaves, some professionally restored.
