The third volume has a slightly different title than the first two, "Illustrations of Australian Plants collected in 1770 during Captain Cook's Voyage..." An Instructions to the Binder slip bound in Part III notes this change, stating that when all three parts were bound together, as was the intention, the temporary title-pages to the first two parts should be discarded. The work is here as issued by the publisher, in the original three parts. With typed catalogue entry from John Howell-Books laid in. Great Flower Books p. 48; Holmes Capt. Cook 127; Nissen (Botany) 74. Lot Amendments Condition: Some wear to boards, those on first part foxed, library labels taped to spines; contents coming loose due to the drying of the glue in the perfect binding; very good.
