Imperial German Saxon marching staff with an overall length of 52", and of a style which was used between 1780 and 1870. Wooden portion of the staff measures 34", with a brass tip of 10", and 6" on the top. A Saxon green/white faded cord is wrapped around the staff and secured with a brass loop on the lower tip, and through the staff via 2 brass plates 14" from the top. A 2" Saxon "star crest" is mounted on the center top, which is 4" in diameter. CONDITION: Very good. WZ Item Dimensions: Length: 52".
