includes a Colt Model 1816 Army Percussion Revolver. .44 caliber, 8" barrel with faded single-line NY address stampings, serial number 17864 on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Barrel is stamped with different serial number 22843. Four-screw frame, left frame stamped Colt's Patent and .44 Cal. PLUS, a large-framed Belgian Pinfire, 12mm caliber, 6" barrel, serial number 36088 and LF proof marks on right fame. PLUS, a Model 1836 R.J. Johnson single-shot flintlock pistol. .54 smooth-bore caliber with 8.5" barrel. Lockplate stamped U.S. R. Johnson Middn Conn 1836. This archive also includes 4 UCV medals and badges including a 2-part brass medal with pinback having view of Memphis, Tenn. hanger with monument of mounted CSA officer with cityscape in background and Army of Northern Virginia battle flag in red and blue enamel paint below, ribbon banner surround with 34th Reunion UCV Memphis, 1924, marked on reverse Whitehead & Hoag, 1.7" x 2.7" long, PLUS a brass watch fob with oval embossed portraits of Lee & Jackson ribbon banner below with inscription 39th Annual Reunion June 4-5-6-7, 1929 UCV with shield shaped bars and stars with red and blue enamel paint, marked Greenouck Co. Chicago on reverse, 1.4" x 2", PLUS a brass button hole medal, circular with red and white enameled center with entwined UCV, garter surround with Memphis, marked W.& H. Co. on reverse, 1" diameter, PLUS a polychrome printed cello pinback button from Memphis Reunion 1909 June 8-9-10 with cross CSA National flags and portrait of unidentified CSA General, again by Whitehead & Hoag, PLUS a pair of slightly battered field glasses, brass with black painted finish marked Lemaire Fabt. Paris, 4.5" open, PLUS 9 different printed card stock Rail Road passes all from early 1880s, RR include North-Eastern Railroad of Georgia, Shenango & Allegheny, Cedar Rapids & Northern, Kentucky Central, East Tenn. Virginia & Georgia, Fort Wayne, Cincinnati & Louisville, South Florida, Toledo, Cincinnati & St. Louis & Cincinnati, Wabash & Michigan Railway, all ca 2.5" x 4", PLUS a card from United Daughters of the Confederacy, 2.4" x 3.6", PLUS 2 unused white ball clay smoking pipes with original labels, 4" long, AND a 20th century copy photograph of Lake in civilian dress, 6" x 8". Provenance: Property of the former First National Bank of Fremont, Indiana Condition: First gun with a few replaced screws. The wedge has been replaced and redone. Barrel markings are barely visible. Barrel and loading lever are a deep, dark brown. Right side of barrel forward of wedge has had an old welded repair. Loading lever is brown and pitted. Cylinder is deep, dark brown in color and pitted with no cylinder scene visible. Frame is sharp with a dark grey-to-brown color. Backstrap is deep, dark brown in color with some pitting. Brass trigger guard has been cleaned bright. Wood grips show use, with scratches, dings and mars. Mechanically functional. Second gun lacking any markings, except Liege proof on cylinder. Walnut grips. All metal surfaces are a dark color with light pitting. Mechanically functional. Third gun with barrel proofs "P" and "TW". Hammer, frizzen and frizzen spring are replacements. Gun retains its original pan. Barrel is basically a smooth, dark patinated brown color. Barrel band and rear buttcap have a nice light chocolate brown color. Wood shows considerable use on left side with large lines scratched through wood and sideplate. Visible cartouches. Medals are all EXC, cello with slight soil, all cards have glue on reverse, pipes EXC.
