An incredible WWI First World War collection of personal effects and medal group relating to 2863 Sapper Francis C. Lewis of the Royal Engineers. The collection comprising his medal trio; 1914-15 Star, War Medal and Victory Medal - all with original ribbons and mounted on bar. The collection also includes Lewis' original WWI First World War ' Tommy ' Brodie helmet - rare rimless variation with makers marks for BS (W.Beardmore & Co Ltd of Glasgow 1916-1919) and named to inside rim ' FC Lewis ' (believed to have been repurposed and repainted in WWII). Also included from Lewis is a rare ' United Alkali Company Ltd ' Serving The Empire ' enamel badge, a hallmarked silver vesta case monogrammed ' FCL ', various items of trench art, cap badge, uniform buttons etc. A rare collection of original related WWI effects.
