INCUNABULA] JUSTINIANUS. Codex Justinianus (with the Glossa ordinaria of Accursius and the Summaria of Hieronymus Clarius) . Venice: Bernardinus Stagninus, de Tridino, 16 Sept. 1495 . Period (or slightly later) blindstamped pigskin straps and clasps, all edges blue, the spine label reading "Codex Justiniae." 15 1/2 x 10 1/3 inches (39 x 27 cm); 318 ff., two columns surrounded by two columns of glosses, 72 to 82 lines, printed in black and red, collating a-z [inverted 2][reversed C][Jupiter] A-N^(8) O^(6). The binding with the front joint cracked at the head, small loss to the head of the spine, Bar Association stamp on title, a few annotations (trimmed), O1 with a small brown spot about a US quarter in size, generally a rather fresh copy.
