Bolt-action en-bloc clip loaded rifle with adjustable rear notch and front blade sights with rear notch featuring folding battle sight. Top of receiver marked {Crown}/FAT/42 indicating manufacture by R.E. Terni in 1942. Additional Terni mark visible on bolt with Italian Crown stamps on barrel, receiver, and bolt. Stock has been struck MADE IN ITALY on right side with the left showing FABBA. ARM./R.E./TERNI along with S/951 serial number. Left stock further marked with initials LD to left side above magazine. Comes with broken leather sling and M1891 long knife bayonet with leather scabbard and frog. Bayonet serial numbered D6224 to guard. Condition: Good. Bore is very bright with some flecks of oxidation forming at muzzle. Metal finish shows dust and grime overall with blue primarily intact, but oxidation forming to bayonet lug, at muzzle, and to front sight. Further signs of oxidation to magazine. Bolt is a gray patina overall with brown handle and cocking piece. Wood stock shows handling wear and mars overall in addition to chips at toe where it does not meet the buttplate flush. Blade of bayonet shows two rolls to edge and bites along its length with mottled gray patina forming near edge. Guard and pommel are a brown patina while grips show some erosion at edges. Sling is cracked and has split into two pieces. Red rot and some cracking overall. Scabbard shows patina and oxidation to chape and locket with crazing on length and cracking to frog. Some abrasions to frog along with dust overall.
