Italy.- Alberti (Leandro) Descrittione di Tutta Italia, collation: *4 a-c8 d10 A-Z, AA-ZZ, AAA-GGG8, Roman type, title with woodcut printer's device, engraved portrait of the author to verso of *4, woodcut historiated initials and tail-pieces, lacking 2 ff. of table (d5&6), early ink letter practice to verso of title, some staining (mostly marginal) and spotting, contemporary blind-stamped vellum, covers with arabesque centre-pieces, large chip to upper left-hand corner of upper cover, lightly soiled, 4to (205 x 149mm.), Venice, Pietro de Nicolini, de Sabio, 1551. ⁂ A very good copy of the second edition of this history of Italy. Alberti was a Bologna born Dominican historian. Literature: Adams A472; EDIT 16 CNCE 686.
