Case size: 33.5 mm Material: 18K gold Movement: automatic, caliber 888 Year: circa 1990 Crystal: sapphire crystal Bracelet: leather strap, original buckle Reference number: 141.120.1 Serial number: 1'616'964 Movement number: 2'376'633
Jaeger-LeCoultre Odysseus Triple Calendar Moonphase Solid 18K yellow gold 35x7mm 3-piece case with sapphire exhibition back. The Odysseus Moonphase was produced between 1988 and 1992 and was the predecessor of the Master Moon series. The Odysseus watches were most often bi-coloured and this yellow gold version was less common. The movement is the JLC 33 jewel Cal. 888 bi-directional automatic with 38 hour power reserve, beating at 21,600vph. This is a classic slimline movement first introduced in 1967 which JLC also supplied to Vacheron Constantin (Cal. 1126) and Audemars Piguet (Cal. 2125). The rhodium plated movement is on display under the sapphire case back and is decorated with Côtes de Genève. The cream dial has applied gold Roman numerals and baton markers with complimentary YG baton hands. The focal point, of course, is the golden moon with stars in the night sky. The moonphase is accurate to 29.53125 days (1 day behind in every 122 years). There are pushers for quickly setting the date, month and moon.
