Lot of two reddish-brown lacquer pens with dimpled surfaces in the kamakura bori manner, one with cut-ins arranged into diamond pattern motif, 14K rolled gold clip and band; the other likely a pre-war model with replacement wartime steel nib, gold-plated clip and band. Plunger-fillers. Diamond-pattern pen has #3 steel "New Style" iridium-tipped nib; the other has #4 steel Platinum "pladium"-tiped nib. Fine to very fine condition, rubbing to sections, brassing to clips and rings. Uncommon.
